Colin Fowlie shares new lyric video

The Workaround is the latest single from Fowlie’s stunning 2021 full length, East of Nowhere.

The Workaround might just be the heaviest song on Fowlie’s latest album, tackling themes of gun violence, racism and the surveillance state. And as far as lyric videos go, this one hits home more than most.

This latest video was created by Fowlie’s longtime collaborator Puppett Garrell, who has put together over a dozen such videos for his songs through her company MamaPcreative

“Working with Puppett is an incredible experience each time,” said Fowlie. “She interprets the songs so beautifully and thoughtfully creates stories in images that capture that interpretation. More often than not, she moves me to tears because her work elevates the music and turns the lyric video into its own art form.”

In advance of his upcoming show at Living Roots Music Festival, Fowlie will make his first trip to Newfoundland next month with performances in St. John’s, Gander, Port Rexton and Cornerbrook.

East of Nowhere was released in June of last year and is available wherever you listen to music.
