The Tortoise, The Hare and The Millionaire headline an evening of live music April 18 in support of Fredericton’s campus/community radio station.
It’s been a while since Fredericton’s community/campus radio station has been involved in organizing live music outside the confines of its studio, located deep inside the Student Union Building on the UNB campus. But that’s about to change with the recent news that The Tortoise, The Hare and The Millionaire will headline a mid-week lineup of Fredericton area performers on April 18 in support of the station.
Joining THM will be Quinn Bonnell, Colin Fowlie and the “ferocious” new Fredericton band, Helium Submarine.
CHSR will host the National Community Radio Conference this year in Fredericton running from June 6-10. The event will attract community/campus radio staff and volunteers from across the country for a week of lectures, presentations and conversations surrounding all things community radio. Fredericton last hosted this event in 1994.
