It’s a double header for Fredericton’s Oscar Tecu as his two current projects are gearing up to share the stage for an evening of music at The Muse this Friday.
Chillteens and Lil Omar will fill The Muse with the sounds of psych-rock, folk and jazz this weekend when the downtown café hosts one of its most diverse lineups in some time featuring two groups co-founded by Fredericton-based multi-instrumentalist Oscar Tecu.
After more than a year in the works, Chillteens (or chillteens) released their latest full-length album, Green Tea, this past summer and have been playing whenever possible ever since. Having played almost every one of their hometown shows at The Cap including a sold out double bill with DenMother last summer and a recent performance with Kill Chicago and The Hypochondriacs as part of The Tannery Series, this weekend will see the band stepping outside of their regular digs and into the well lit street side window stage of The Muse.
The evening opens with a set of jazz infused psych folk/somba by Lil Omar. Lil Omar’s debut album, Toddler Country, was released June 5, 2020.
