Beaverbrook Art Gallery seeking submissions for Studio Watch Emerging Artist Series: Painting
The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is calling for submissions for the Studio Watch Emerging Artist Series: Painting 2016 exhibition. This innovative series provides New Brunswick artists, in the early stages of their career, with the opportunity for a solo exhibition, the publication of an exhibition brochure and the purchase of one of their works by the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. The Studio Watch Emerging Artist Series: Painting 2016 exhibition will be held at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton from October 20, 2016 to January 15, 2017.
To be eligible an artist must:
- Reside and produce art in New Brunswick (consideration will be given to permanent residents of New Brunswick attending higher education degree programs or conducting temporary projects outside of New Brunswick);
- Have at least five years of experience in art making;
- Have yet to have a solo exhibit in a major public gallery or museum;
- Have a particular body of work ready for exhibition for October 2016. Each submission package must contain the following components:
- Curriculum vitae;
- Artist statement (400-500 words;
- Five (5) digital image samples of work (JPEG format, file size 500-800 KB).
