Fredericton poet laureate Jordan Trethewey will host a poetry reading and book launch on January 25 at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
Over the past year, Fredericton’s poet laureate Jordan Trethewey has been writing the story of our city. Through an extensive series of casual public interviews conducted at events and locations throughout the downtown district, Tretheway met with Frederictonians of all ages and backgrounds, listened to their stories, and wrote a poem based on each individual meeting. This series has now been compiled to create the book, These Are the People in your Neighbourhood.
The book will be treated to a public launch at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery on January 25 at 6:30 p.m. The evening event will feature poetry readings by many of the book’s participants as well as a Q & A with Trethewey.
