An amazing night of live competitive painting at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre.
It’s always an inspiring evening. 12 local painters will bring their talent and courage to the easels, the audience cheers them on and decides who will go on to compete at the Provincial Finals.
Art Battle is live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non- mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and bids in silent auction to take the work home.
Art Battle 270 will take place in Fredericton on Saturday, May 2. Doors open at 7pm. Painting begins at 7:30pm. The Charlotte Street Arts Centre is located at 732 Charlotte St. in Fredericton, NB. Tickets are $15; Earlybird $10; Students $10; Kids 12 and under $10.
