NBFC’s Monday Night Film Series returns September 7, 2015
The New Brunswick Filmmaker’s Co-operative just announced the line-up for a brand new season of its popular Monday Night Film Series, which kicks off September 7 with a screening of Amy, the latest documentary examining the tragic life of British soul singer Amy Winehouse.
For the past 23 years the series has helped expose Fredericton audiences to a wealth of limited release independent, foreign and Canadian films.
“The Monday Night Film Series shows Canadian and International films that typically do not show at Cineplex,” said Tony Merzetti, executive director of the NBFC. “The series schedule includes Oscar award-winning films and documentaries from around the world.”
The series runs each Monday night at Tilley Hall on the University of New Brunswick campus beginning at 7:30 p.m.
“The film series gives audiences in Fredericton an opportunity to see excellent films of a high calibre that they would not see otherwise,” said Merzetti.
