Spirals is an airy, dreamlike composition that proves Property// is more than just highly danceable beats.
Back in April of this year, electronic composer/performer Charles Harding released the first track from his upcoming Property// full-length, announcing the album’s July 17 release date.
With his album Spirals now set to drop in just under two weeks’ time, Harding is gearing up for a series of release shows with performances in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario later this month.
To bait our appetite for the forthcoming full-length, Harding has shared the title track – an airy, dreamlike composition that moves beyond the highly danceable beats that helped define his work up until this point.
Spirals blends cello and acoustic guitar with Harding’s clever orchestrations, adding a new level of complexity to Property//’s auditory plane.
“I wanted to take it in a bit of a different direction with this album, keeping it kind of low key,” said Harding. “I wrote the guitar parts and Emily Kennedy performed all the cello parts. I’m super happy with the work she’s done. She’s an incredible musician. For the live sets I’ll be accompanied by Emily Kennedy on cello and Luke Wilson on guitar.”
