Festival (506) returns to the Moncton for this year’s conference and awards weekend.
(Moncton) After a successful year in Miramichi, Music • Musique NB (MNB) announces that Moncton will be hosting the eleventh edition of Festival (506), October 12 to 15, 2017. The annual music industry event brings New Brunswick artists together with regional, national and international industry professionals, for four days of shows, conferences and awards.
“The City of Moncton is proud to host Festival (506) this fall!” says Moncton Mayor Dawn Arnold. “There are so many talented musicians in our province, and we applaud Music • Musique NB’s efforts to promote our local artists.”
Festival (506)’s schedule includes forty or so artists playing a variety of genres, conferences geared to music industry professionals, an Awards Show celebrating New Brunswick’s musical talents, as well as a Youth component called “dB Program” which gives artists aged 13 to 18 mentoring and performance opportunities.
Music•Musique NB (MNB) is now accepting proposals from communities in New Brunswick wishing to host the 2018 edition of Festival (506), October 11 to 14, 2018. The full request for proposal is available on MNB’s website.
Festival (506) is made possible through the support of numerous partners including the government of New Brunswick, and the City of Moncton. We acknowledge the financial support of FACTOR, Musicaction, the Government of Canada and of Canada’s private radio broadcasters.
