photo4Brace yourself. The Capital Complex will soon play host to three important disciples of the loud and the heavy for what promises to be a legendary night full of distorted proportions.

The show marks the near midway point of a national tour by two of British Columbia’s stoner rock ambassadors, Black Wizard and Dead Quiet. Joining these two west coast acts will be local favourites, Hard Charger.

Black Wizard was born out of one of the country’s most established metal-friendly communities – Vancouver, BC. The brainchild of founding members Adam Grant and Eugene Parkomenko, two at-heart musicians who grew sick of spending their days working local construction jobs and decided to go all in on music. At that point, Black Wizard was born.

Now, after selling more than 5000 independent releases over two full-length albums and a 7”, the band will spend much of 2016 on tour throughout North America is support of their brand new album, New Waste (Listenable Records). Stoner Rock at its finest.

Dead Quiet have partnered with Black Wizard for their current Canadian tour. Also hailing from Vancouver, the band released its self-titled debut last year and has been recognized as a bit of a Canadian metal super-group. Supporting founding member and frontman Kevin Keegan (Barn Burner) is an impressive cast a musicians that includes past and current members of Anciients, Bend Sinister, Percheron, Cooked and Eaten and 3 Inches of Blood.

Rounding out this show’s lineup are local favourites, Hard Charger, who have a big summer planned. They’ll be releasing a new album and have finalized a tour of the Eastern US/Canada that will see the band on the road for a few weeks in June and July.
