The Capital Complex’s Annual Christmas Cover Show Series Begins December 17.
Do you know what time it is? I said, “DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?”.
That’s right. It’s the holiday season and that means it’s time for another edition of The Capital Complex’s Annual Christmas Cover Shows series – that most wonderful time of the year when so many Fredericton musicians come out of the woodwork (or out from under the mistletoe) to blast off a set of tunes from one of their favourite artists. Hear The Hypochondriacs take on Green Day, Mack Brockton channel his inner George Michael and Motherhood conjure the dark side with a set of Black Sabbath tunes. All this and so much more for your holiday merriment. 18 sets in all!
Besides simply being a whole whack of fun, the Christmas Cover Show series put on by the city’s top live music venue also serves an important role within the broader community. All proceeds from each night of performances go to support a local charity. The money raised this year will go to support Greener Village, Fredericton’s community food centre. Greener Village provide the region with food bank services, clothing, cooking classes and several education initiatives aimed at creating a healthier community.
