Well, if the simple fact that All of Green have reformed and will probably be playing more music in the months to come isn’t enough to satisfy your excitement, they’ve just posted their set from Folly Fest 2015.
The set was recorded by Andrew Butler, who has been recording live performances for the better part of a decade now. He also plays in the band so why not ask a few questions?
You’ve been recording All of Green since before you even joined the band right?
I recorded one or two All of Green gigs before I joined the band, and continued recording the band after too. I think I have most of the shows I’ve played with them recorded. (Check out some early recordings here).
What did you use for gear to grab this show? It sounds great.
I used a stereo pair of condenser mics to capture the audience perspective of the show and multi-tracked out of the soundboard into my Alesis HD24 hard disk recorder.
What would you consider to be a highlight from this performance?
A big highlight for me was playing a couple tunes that were ‘retired’ before I joined the band, so I never got to play them, and they were favorites of mine – Sugar Marmalady and There’s No Sound.
How much for the download?
Nothing. It’s free.
