Cape Breton’s Slowcoaster make their long-awaited return to the Capital Complex.  Infectious grooves, great songwriting and a long history of bringing the party.  They’ll be joined by Halifax psych-rock outfit, The Brood.  The Brood have been described as off-kilter jazz-tinged surf-rock, with hints of Zappa, Ween, and The Grateful Dead. Halifax’s high-energy hip-hop machine Three Sheet return to The Capital Complex for what will surely be a great night of beats and rhymes from these friendly folks. Three Sheet’s live show has yet to disappoint – they’re always GAME ON! They’ll be joined by Brooklyn, New York’s Durians, who deliver “…booming synths, heavy drums and instrumentals reminiscent of alien screeches — so bombastic that the floorboards shake.”  This is going to be a pretty sweet night.

Maritime Countryfest celebrates 10 years this weekend welcoming Johnny Reid, The Road Hammers, Joe Diffie, Sunday Best and East Coast up-and-comer Makayla Lynn to their stage at Officer’s Square.
