Swimming represents the latest stage in Pallmer’s ongoing evolution. The Fredericton-based electro classical trio will be playing shows in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick later this month.

Pallmer have their esthetic dialed in, sharing each new release through a stunning combination of auditory and visual symmetry. From the delicate string and vocal work that form the basis of their original sound to the muted colour palettes and outdoor environments that dominate their music videos, violist Mark Kleyn and cellest Emily Kennedy have never swayed from their initial creative vision since first coming together in 2018. They have only enhanced it with admirable clarity.

Working with multiinstrumentalist and producer Joshua Van Tassel on their debut album Swimming, Kleyn and Kennedy have allowed space for field recordings, synthesized melodic accompaniment, and various electronic textures to further enhance their sound resulting in an expanded lineup (the duo became a trio in 2023 with the addition of multiinstrumentalist Charles Harding) and their most adventurous music to date.

Pallmer are hitting the road this month for dates in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick.
