Fortunato is one of the most prolific artists in the Canadian hip hop game. Whether it’s a new solo album, a single, another impressive collaboration, or a new video to support something recently released, Fortunato is constantly working, guided by his smooth delivery, lyrical positivity, and undeniable work ethic.

A one-time Eastcoaster, Fortunato’s performances in Atlantic Canada are few these days, but always worth the wait.

His latest album, Blue Collar 2 (Hand’Solo Records), follows earlier collaborations with several artists including LxVNDR, Royce Birth, and DJ IV. The album reconnects Fortunato with producer Sean One to continue what they started on their critically acclaimed 2015 album Blue Collar, which featured the timeless track Don’t Drink the Kool-Aid (featuring Sean Price).

Blue Collar 2 finds its balance between Sean One’s refined production skills and his ear for subtle melody lines and Fortunato’s seamless lyrical flow. It’s a smooth ride and a further testament to the advantages of experience, time, and dedication to the craft. Two artists at the top of their game.

Fortunato’s upcoming tour includes three New Brunswick shows with special guests Jono, Metaphyzik, and others. Dates below.
