Collaboration is where it’s at. Especially in hip hop, where the voice is always the main instrument, the centre of it all. That’s what I love the most about hip hop. Contrasts in delivery, speech, phrasing, and tone never fail to take a good song to a higher place. For Saint John rapper Stephen Hero, collaboration has helped broaden his highly prolific output adding colour and variety to his increasingly efficient and unique lyrical delivery. His latest collab however, finds Hero in a new environment, working live off the floor.
