The Beaverbrook Art Gallery will be the setting for an evening writing session inspired by the many works on display. Hosted by City of Fredericton Poet Laureate Jordan Trethewey, and the Gallery, Writing Night with Poet Laureate Jordan Trethewey, invites everyone to come out, get inspired, and engage with each other through a mix of writing and art appreciation in the beautiful surroundings of the Gallery’s new addition.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. No experience necessary. All you need is your imagination, and your preferred writing utensil.

“I am excited because this is dedicated writing time for you writers out there,” said Trethewey.  “I guarantee you walk away with the start of a new and exciting piece of writing using art at the Beaverbrook as a starting point.”

Participants will meet Jordan in the new Harrison McCain Pavilion, have 30 minutes to browse the gallery, followed by an hour to write, ask questions, and revise. The evening will wrap up with an informal reading of the evening’s work.
