Created in partnership with the Fredericton Inn, this latest series from Music Runs Through It will kick off September 22 with a performance by Alberta duo Scott Cook and Pamela Mae.

Music Runs Through It is getting the fall season off to a strong start announcing a new uptown concert series. Created in partnership with the Fredericton Inn, the Uptown at Night Series will provide a new intimate listening stage for city music lovers.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with a great community partner to bring another listening room experience to the city.” said Music Runs Through It’s Emma Chevarie. “We are working together to create a destination event that rivals that of any other city.”
Chevarie is responsible for providing Fredericton area music lovers with a long list of events and intimate listening experiences on stages throughout the city. Under the MRTI banner, Chhevarie has promoted events at Corked Wine Bar, Gallery 78, Dolan’s Pub and several other venues. Most recently, Chevarie partnered with the Tipsy Muse Café to create the Cold Snap Music Series hosting performances by Joel Plaskett, Jason Anderson, Chloé Breault, Les Chanterelles, Palmer, and Measha Brueggergosman this past winter.
The first show in the Uptown at Night Series will take place September 22 and feature Albertan songwriter and troubadour Scott Cook performing with bassist Pamela Mae.
Scott has made his living as a troubadour since 2007—touring almost incessantly across Canada, the US, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and elsewhere. He averages 150 shows and a dozen summer festivals a year. Scott has released seven albums of plainspoken, keenly observant verse along the way. His latest collection, Tangle of Souls, earned Scott his third Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for English Songwriter of the Year. Its second single “Say Can You See” took top honours for the folk category in both the 2020 UK Songwriting Competition and the 2020 Great American Song Contest.
