Movement artist Sydney Hallett will be hosting a six-week dance class for adults beginning September 22.
This fall, the Charlotte Street Arts Centre will be home to a six-week dance class geared towards adults looking to explore dance and movement in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Hosted by Fredericton-based movement artists Sydney Hallett, Contemporary Dance will cover a wide range of styles and techniques over a six week period.
“I wanted to offer something that would be inviting for beginners, while also appealing to dancers of any skill level who want to come play,” said Hallett. “The goal of the workshop is mainly to have fun developing a relationship to movement in the individual’s body, as well as to enjoy creating as a group, while also learning some technique along the way.
“I want to facilitate an environment for adults that focuses on the joy of movement and that allows people to feel comfortable expressing themselves!”
The class runs Thursday evenings from September 22 – October 27. Registration info can be found on the CSAC website.
