Lazermortis and Sonic Hz team up for New Brunswick tour

The Synth Cities summer tour will visit Moncton, Fredericton, Edmundston and Clarks Corner during July and August.

Two New Brunswick synth wave artists are joining forces for a series of shows across the province during the summer months. Lazermortis (Saint John) and Sonic Hz (Moncton) will be hitting the road beginning July 9 at the Xeroz Arcade BAR in Moncton.

Lazermortis is a full time funeral director and embalmer by day and an 80’s inspired synthwave/outrun artist by night. Hailing from Atlantic Canada, Lazer released her debut album Backseat Demons on June 30, 2020, which has achieved over 70K streams on Spotify with her standout track Below The Sunrise! Her latest EP was nominated for 2022 ECMA’s Electronic Album of the Year and is a marriage between her career and her passion for synthwave, exploring how artificial intelligence might perceive death and the afterlife.

Influenced by a love for 1980’s synth wave and movie scores, Sonic Hz is an artist, an album, a song, and everything in between and in the realm of possibility. It’s the soundtrack for that interstellar manned/android mission to the stars that we all wished had happened in the 80s.
