81 Minutes touring New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in April

After debuting before a sold out audience during last summer’s NotaBle Acts Theatre Festival, Falling Iguana Theatre’s all-original show 81 Minutes will be touring the Maritimes in April.

Falling Iguana Theatre will be back on the east coast next month bringing its original cast production of 81 Minutes to audiences in Fredericton, Sackville and Dartmouth.

81 Minutes is a fast-paced thrill ride exploring the largest unsolved art heist in history- that of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston on March 18, 1990.

The play is a speculative depiction of the events of that fateful night, and weaves together two intersecting storylines. The piece will run exactly 81 minutes (the precise amount of time the thieves were in the museum), which will be counted down, in real time, by a giant clock on the stage. As with Falling Iguana’s previous work, this production will fuse movement, text, and music into a highly entertaining theatrical experience.

The play premiered before sold out audiences at Theatre New Brunswick’s Open Space Theatre in July of 2021 as part of the NotaBle Acts Theatre Festival.
