Symphony New Brunswick returns with Puzzle for the Ears

After a three-month hiatus, Symphony New Brunswick is gearing up to present its first concerts of the year with performances in Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John.

Symphony New Brunswick begins its 2022 programming withPuzzles for the Ears, an intriguing program of orchestral music containing hidden messages and meaning. Music Director Mélanie Léonard promises an adventurous experience as she conducts Camerata NB, Symphony New Brunswick’s professional chamber orchestra.

“As we take the stage for the first time in 2022, we’re excited to explore the music of composers who were masters of intrigue”, said Léonard. “Secret codes, ciphers, acrostics, cleverly hidden meanings, they’re all part of our exhilarating program Puzzles for the Ears.”

Puzzles for the Ears is the fourth concert tour of Symphony New Brunswick’s 2021-2022 season and continues the orchestra’s commitment to bring exceptional live concert experiences to the province. The program features selections from The Art of Fugue by J.S. Bach, as well as music by Morlock, Shostakovich, Mozart, and Ukrainian composer Mysroslav Skoryk.

We’re immensely confident concert-goers will be mesmerized as our superb Music Director and musical code-breaker, Mélanie Léonard, solves a chain of musical mysteries from the Masters.”
