Just For Laughs veteran Jeremy Hotz will deliver three Maritime performances to help get 2022 off on a humorous note.
One of the most unique stand-up comics working today, Canadian-born Jeremy Hotz returns to the Maritimes this winter to warm up 2022 with The Marquis de Sad Tour, Jan. 6 – 8.
With stellar performances at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival and sold out Canadian theatre tours, Hotz is a proven international success having toured his show throughout the United States, Europe and Australia. He continues to grab audiences with his completely original and confused, yet very astute, observational comedy.
In 2002, he performed at Just For Laughs in Montreal and received a standing ovation after his debut performance at the prestigious television gala. He has returned to the festival many times, where he has been voted Best Performer by the Globe and Mail (2005) and been chosen as Best in Fest by the Montreal Gazette (2008). He hosted the “Just For Laughs” TV series for The Comedy Network in 2013 and performed his own one man show at the 2016 festival. Recognition came quick, as American studios and networks showed interest and Hotz was offered major development deals from CBS, Disney and Comedy Central.
Hotz appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, made five appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and performed his own standup special on Comedy Central. He filmed three other specials, including What A Miserable Show This Is… and Some of the Best of Jeremy Hotz for CTV, and his latest special, filmed in his hometown of Ottawa, Dangerously Handsome.
