Fredericton hip hop artist LA $OLE teams up with Dead_Dog_Films for latest single/video.
Rapper L.A. $OLE (Liam Allen) and DJ/producer FRNK (Jordon Francis McLaughlin) continue their long running collaboration with the release of the new single, Pass Me By. This new single/video follows the pair’s 2020 single STR8 NASTY, which also featured a performance by prominent (and ever dominant) Fredericton-based rapper Monark. (Watch that here).
“This video was super fun to do,” said Allen, who will be rolling out new singles and an EP later this fall. “It’s been a minute since I dropped anything so it feels good to give people a prequel of what’s to come. I’m excited for people to see the hard work Connor and I put into this as well as Frank who produced it.”
The video was shot and edited by Connor Lindsay of the Halifax-based dead_dog_films.
“LA $OLE and I have worked together in the past on his debut video Str8 Nasty,” said Lindsay. “That video focused a lot on the nooks and crannies of downtown Fredericton. With this video, we felt the song would be complimented well by showcasing some of the hidden rural treasures that Fredericton has to offer. The Princess Margaret Bridge is iconic to the city and underneath the bridge has some stunning artwork that complimented the video so well. Since the track is about moving through life and overcoming past traumas, I felt having $OLE alone in these rural locations would give the viewer a more one on one experience with his breathtaking lyrics.”
