NotaBle Acts is New Brunswick’s leading festival dedicated to new and emerging playwrights, new plays and artist development. After a highly adapted season in 2020, the festival returns with full schedule of public performances in Fredericton July 22-31.
NotaBle Acts is back. After an adapted season that included the festival’s first play performed entirely as a live streamed event with Jean-Michel Cliche’s Space Girl, New Brunswick’s only festival dedicated to new and emerging playwrights returns to its familiar programming model with performances July 22-31.
This year’s festival lineup features a wealth of new and returning playwrights including past NotaBle mainstays Alexa Higgins and Ian Goff who will co-direct this year’s featured Mainstage production 81 Minutes. Muriel Falkenstein and Madeline Savoie, two young playwrights who made their NotaBle debut in 2020, have also returned this season with new works of their own.
This year’s complete lineup can be found below. Mark your calendars and watch for more details and special features on this year’s festival in the coming days.
