Goose Lane Editions Host Digital Book Launch. Goose Lane Editions presents the digital launch of Gordon Pitts’s highly anticipated new book, Unicorn in the Woods: How East Coast Geeks and Dreamers Are Changing the Game at 7:00 PM (ADT). The event is free and open to the public, and will be live-streamed on YouTube Live.
Gordon Pitts will be joined in conversation by Dr. Herb Emery, the current Vaughan Chair in Regional Economics at the University of New Brunswick whose research focuses on the development of the Canadian economy and the persistence of long-standing regional disparities. Plain Site Theatre Festival. Theatre St. Thomas in partnership with Solo Chicken and Spearhead Theatre present the 2nd Annual Plain Site Theatre Festival running October 28th -31st, featuring an entirely digital lineup of new plays, readings, performances and workshops. The Fiddlehead: 75th Anniversary Poetry & Prose Readings (online). The Fiddlehead: Atlantic Canada’s International Literary Journal is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. Along with publishing a special fifth issue, they are hosting free online events featuring live readings from many of the authors who contributed to the anniversary issue. Over the final months of 2020, the series will highlight writers from across the country as they tour through the issue, beginning on the east coast and moving west. Learn more.

UNB Centre for Musical Arts presents MusicUNB 2020 Fall Live Stream Concerts. We are so excited to continue our proud tradition of bringing music to the university and the broader community. As always, MusicUNB has an interesting array of concerts for you as well as our 2nd Contemporary Music Festival. The only thing different this season is that you will participate virtually! Most of the concerts this season will still be taking place at Memorial Hall, but will be live streamed for online viewing only. Some of the performances will be pre-recorded separately, and then assembled into a video montage to be viewed by our online audience.
