Fourteen artists, practicing a variety of art forms, participated in the program throughout July and August, creating and demonstrating their work to the public. The exhibit will include works created and inspired by this residency and will range from visual arts, music, fine craft, literature and more.

Exhibitions at Gallery on Queen. Gallery on Queen presents RITUAL, an exhibition that showcases the work of Marie Fox and emerging artists Alison Willms and Austin Daigle.

Marie Fox is a figurative oil painter whose work combines traditional western techniques and iconography with ancestral mythologies and mysticism to create a contemporary narrative. Her current project, ‘Celestial Bodies’, was awarded a Creation Grant by artsnb and will debut as a solo exhibition in 2020 at Gallery on Queen. ‘Celestial Bodies’ will feature iconic Maritime landscapes and celestial skyscapes populated with figures that embody the earthly, the celestial, and the otherworldly.

Alison Willms is an emerging artist from the east coast of Canada, who uses a wide range of media in her practice, including analog photography, printmaking, film, sound, and installation. Willms’ work explores a spectrum of ideas from relationships to ritual.

Austin Daigle is an emerging artist, he studied at the NBCCD and found an affinity in the malleability of sterling and copper, and went on to graduate with honors from the Jewelry and Metal Arts program in 2017.

UNB Centre for Musical Arts presents MusicUNB 2020 Fall Live Stream Concerts. We are so excited to continue our proud tradition of bringing music to the university and the broader community. As always, MusicUNB has an interesting array of concerts for you as well as our 2nd Contemporary Music Festival. The only thing different this season is that you will participate virtually! Most of the concerts this season will still be taking place at Memorial Hall, but will be live streamed for online viewing only. Some of the performances will be pre-recorded separately, and then assembled into a video montage to be viewed by our online audience.

Please join us this fall and help us support our performing musicians! Check our web for details of concerts and ticket offerings. More info.
