After a successful inaugural event in the fall of 2019, Fredericton’s Spearhead Theatre have announced plans to host its second 24-hour play challenge on March 6-7.
Spearhead Theatre’s SHT Show is back!
The second annual SHT Show challenges participants to create, rehearse, and perform an original piece of theatre over the course of a single day. The #SHTshow will start at UNB’s Memorial Hall on Friday, March 6th and finish on Saturday, March 7th at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre auditorium.
Participants can sign up as an individual, or grab their most dramatic friends and sign up as a team! Each team will receive some randomly selected elements that must be included in their show (ie. setting, a theme, a character, etc.) to ensure that everyone’s SHT shows really were created during the competition.
The competition is open to any and all creatives aged 14 years and up. Registration costs $15 and is open now at spearheadtheatretix.square.site.
The #SHTshow will culminate with a performance in front of an audience and a panel of judges, with prizes and an award ceremony to follow. Tickets to the performance are available at the door by donation.
