Connection Dance Works join with Halifax-based Votive Dance for three date tour of New Brunswick.
Connection Dance Works are hitting the road this week. The Saint John-based contemporary dance company have partnered with Votive Dance (Halifax) for performances in Moncton, Bathurst and Fredericton.
“We are doing a mini tour of New Brunswick,” said CDW’s Executive Director Joanna Bryson. “We’ll be performing Darryl Tracy’s piece With Far Arms, a piece we did at the Imperial Theatre in 2017. The show will also include Sarah Johnson Power’s solo work called, She Pulled Her Head Out Of The Oven and Vanished.
“Our friends in the Halifax duo Votive Dance are doing a piece choreographed for them by Decidedly Jazz Danceworks out of Calgary, where they both trained,” said Bryson.
Connection Dance Works is a non-profit, professional contemporary dance company. Founded in 2010, CDW continues to create, share and encourage professional dance performance and discussion with Saint John’s diverse artistic community through annual performances and the Saint John Contemporary Dance Festival held each summer at various locations across the city’s uptown.
