The hits just keep coming. Fredericton electronic duo Bleum share a new track today, their second of 2019.

Poison is the latest single to come out of Bleum’s August Songs archive, a body of work created during an intense period of writing and producing late last summer.
On this track, vocalist Brittany McQuinn delivers one of her strongest performances to date, pushing her range and ability in new an exciting directions. Bleum’s other half, producer Daniel James, is also exploring new territory with the release of Poison, lifting the tempo slightly and crafting an energetic chorus to create the dance club banger audiences have been waiting for.
“The lyrics tell a story of drinking to help a difficult conversation go smoother and it doesnʼt go well,” said McQuinn. “This song has got a lot of spunk and attitude so I had fun recording the vocals and I hope that comes across.
“When we perform Poison live, thereʼs usually this moment right before the chorus where we all get excited and energized. Iʼm not sure why that happens but I love it! So weʼre happy to make this song one of our 2019 single releases with more in the works.”
Last month Bleum debuted the first single of 2019 and shared the details surrounding the group’s prolific writing period in 2018.
