Just weeks after winning the MNB Award for Music Producer of the Year, Mike Trask has announced a new band and some November shows.

Mike Trask has assembled a pair of longtime collaborators for his latest project, The Mike Trask Power Supply. The trio will make its debut this month with shows in Halifax, Saint John and Moncton.
“The band consist of my longtime bass player and Saint John legend Adam Mowery,” said Trask. “Also I am very excited to be playing with Marc Doucet. Though Marc plays bass for Julie Aubé and we have been touring together the past year, it has been almost ten years since I have been lucky enough to have Marc play guitar for me. We used to play in Halifax together years ago so I am very excited to get to play with Marc again in that capacity. It’s also the first time Adam and Marc are playing together, which we are all excited about.”
For the past several years, Trask has existed in a constant state of collaboration and accompaniment. He performs regularly as a member of Julie Aube’s band, is constantly exploring his own music through various projects and is responsible for some of the most interesting recordings to come out of New Brunswick through his production and engineer work at Memramcook Recording Studio. His list of credits includes recordings by Janowskii, Jane Blanchard, Julie Aubé, David R. Elliott, Tampa, Menoncle Jason and Thomé Young.
Trask was named Music Producer of the Year at this year’s Festival (506), Music NB’s annual awards, conference and artist showcase.
“It is nice to know people have been listening to what I’ve been up to the past few years, and it really gets me excited since I have a bunch of new projects on the go as well as a new album of my own,” said Trask.
