The Motorleague + Kill Chicago + The Crossroad Devils at The Capital. Pre-Pop week continues at The Capital with this showcase featuring three New Brunswick bands, each with their own distinct sound that channels rock, blues and all points in between. Doors at 9. Show at 10 p.m. $10
A Tribute to Tom Petty at Grimross Brewing. Kenny James and friends, including members of The Divorcees, present a rock tribute to Tom Petty. 8 p.m. | $15
House Concert with The Small Glories. JD Edwards and Cara Luft were two experienced singer songwriters on their own until they met by chance at a festival and decided to form a duo called The Small Glories. HubCap Comedy Festival is proud to present the New Brunswick Homecoming Comedy Tour, starring three of our most successful prodigal son’s, returning home from Upper Canada and the west to share some laughs in their hometowns and all around our Province. SHE: An Art Show Inspired by Femininity at 384 Queen Street. This new exhibition opens October 19. SHE is a contemporary art show, featuring six local artists exhibiting work in various styles and mediums, exploring what the theme of “SHE” means to each of them. This exhibition will run until October 21. Artworks will be for sale through silent auction. 7 p.m.

Hot Garbage Players at Wilser’s Room. The Hot Garbage Players invite the monstrous masses for some ghoulish entertainment. Once again the Hot Garbage Players will bring you only the most trashy tales of terror with three juicy improv scenes that will leave you trembling in your seats. An improv show not to miss. Goodbye Honululu + Living Hour + Heat Sheets + Future Peers at The Capital. Bands from Toronto, Winnipeg and Fredericton gather at The Capital Complex for the final Pre-Pop performance of the year. Doors at 9. Show at 10 p.m.
Soderman and Mason at Grimross Brewing. The Soderman Band and the Brent Mason Band will take the Grimross stage for a night of folk-fueled music. Don’t miss this rare performance by two of NB’s legendary performers. 8 p.m.
The Comic Strippers: A Male Stripper Parody & Improv Comedy Show at The Playhouse. The Comic Strippers are a fictitious male stripper troupe, played by a cast of some of Canada’s best improvisational comedians. Vincent Vallières at Centre Communautaire Sainte-Anne. Popular Quebec singer-songwriter, Vincent Vallières, is back in Fredericton with new songs from his 7th album, Le temps des vivants. This touching and unifying show is the perfect opportunity to discover his new songs and to hear his many beloved classics. Simon Daniel, a singersongwriter from Moncton, will open the evening with his unique alternative-pop songs. Tickets starting at $20.

Artist Talk: Peter Coffman at Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Ottawa-based photographer Peter Coffman speaks about his exhibition, Camino: Images, Music and Stories from the Pilgrimage Road to Santiago de Compostela, and his experience exploring the famed pilgrimage of Santiago in Spain. 2 p.m.
Musical Performance by Georgian Bay at Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Bilingual folk duo Georgian Bay performs in their first performance in Fredericton. Touring eastern Canada to promote their newest project, a double album called Courage, the Ontario-based duo will paint pictures with their soaring harmonies and vivid soundscapes. Admission is by donation, and all are welcome to attend. 12 p.m.
Odd Sundays at Corked Wine Bar presents Janet Barkhouse and Frances Boyle. Enjoy readings by several local/regional writers including Janet Barkhouse and Frances Boyle. 2 p.m.
pARTage presents Herménégilde Chiasson: 50 years – 50 works at Beaverbrook Art Gallery. This free program brings artists and guests together in French-language conversations about art and creativity. Presentations may include everything from lectures and readings to musical and dance performances, and more. 3 p.m.
Organ Pops Concert: Remembering Elmer Bourque at Christ Church Parish Church. The concert will feature a variety of crowd-pleasing organ selections from movie themes, rousing patriotic repertoire, theatre organ, fantasias, and more! The Fredericton Organists are dedicating their Members Recital to honour the memory of Elmer Bourque, and the free will offering at the door will go to a music scholarship in Elmer’s name. Please join us for a celebration of Elmer’s life through the organ music he so loved. 2 p.m.
