What a year! There has been so much amazing music coming out of this province over the past year that we decided it would not be right to just list off a Top 10 or a Top 20 or even a Top 50 for that matter. Combing back through the year that was, we took a look at everything from metal to folk, and ambient to hip hop and compiled a list of 100 releases we feel best sum up a most impressive year for NB music.
We have taken a few liberties and included a couple of New Brunswick artists now making music elsewhere and one or two New Brunswick artists who made music elsewhere before returning home, but for the most part these tracks are homegrown. Many of these recordings are available with pay-what-you-wish pricing and those that are not can be purchased for a modest sum. We encourage you to add some of these albums to your collection and share this list with your friends.
