Friday

Alex Bailey Swing Band at The Tipsy Muse Café. Bring your dancing shoes, because The Alex Bailey Swing Band is back for another incredible show! You are in for a great night of swing music and tons of surprises. It’s a show not to be missed, and you will leave smiling. For this evening, we set up the band in a way that allows for a dance floor, and it will be bumping the whole night. 7 p.m.

Patrick Reynolds and Mary Beth Cardy at Grimross Brewing Co. Drawing upon folk and blues traditions, and incorporating soul and rock influences, Patrick Reynolds writes songs with heartfelt lyrics and performs them energetically. With an accordion, musical bones, and stomping board, Mary Beth Carty is a rare gem. She was nominated Traditional Singer of the Year at the Canadian Folk Awards in 2009, and her solo album, Les biens-nommés, was nominated for a 2018 East Coast Music Award. 8 p.m.

Jim Axelrod Big Little Band at Johnston Avenue Seniors Centre. You’ll hear songs made famous by Billie Holiday, Ray Charles, Dutch Mason, the Downchild Blues Band, and more. 7 p.m.

Jazz Warm Up with Don Bosse & Mary Milliken at Grimross Brewing Co.
